Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Pre-Kindergarten is a time to learn and have fun while you are doing it. That is what we do at our school. During the day students are given time to explore on their own and learn with a variety of activities. By the end of the year we strive to have new leaders who are ready for Kindergarten.
Our school and Pre-kindergarten students are amazing.
It is always so much fun coming to school everyday. Everyone is so full of life, laughter, and love. We have over 100 Pre-Kindergarten students and they all work together and make everyday an interesting day.
My Project
In our classroom students will use different puzzles (floor, number, and letter) to learn to work together as a group. Last year we only had one puzzle and it made it difficult when other students wanted to participate. Having that Number Puzzle or Solar System Puzzle would not only teacher students about numbers and science but teach them to work together. When students work together they learn leadership qualities and become better citizens.
We are a high poverty school and do not get any extra funding for our classroom for extra materials.
Having a variety of educational puzzle games would make learning for Pre-Kindergarten students a lot more enjoyable.
