My Students

Every day my students will engage in a reading on the carpet as well as various lesson throughout the year. We do a lot of small group activities where the students engage in activities related to the core subjects.

Our school has highly motivated students that come from low income families.

There is a high poverty rate in the area in which the school is located. The staff at the school is very welcoming and does everything possible to ensure the success of all students.

My Project

Currently the students sit on the hard cold floor while working in groups, listening to books, or lessons. Often times students have trouble with maintaining their own personal space. This rug will not only add color to our classroom, but provide and comfortable area for students to learn. The students will listen to books and lessons on the rug as well as work with groups.

This donation will allow my students to have a place to learn and collaborate.

It will allow the students to focus on what they are being taught as well as the task at hand. It will also allow them to see that there are opportunities out there for them and that good things can come out of working hard.
