Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At the beginning of the school year, my students are excited and eager to see what is in store for the upcoming school year. This year, I would like to show them how they will be able to learn about the world around them and become global learners!
My students come from a high poverty area and would benefit from these magazines.
When they walk into our classroom, they are expecting to have the best education possible. My students are eager to learn about the world around them and these magazines would allow them to access this knowledge.
My Project
My students need 35 subscriptions of Time For Kids classroom magazine to help promote literacy skills in a real-world setting. Students will walk into the classroom to find a fresh new magazine on their desk. As they flip through the colorful pages, they will see images of what is happening in the world around them outside of their "little world." We will discover and learn about current events and real life situations that students will encounter through out their lives. These magazines will help to promote the literacy skills needed to continue education and become college-ready.
The donation of Time For Kids classroom magazine would help to make our classroom an interesting and exciting place to learn.
It will help to make my students global learners who are excited and well-versed about the world today.
