My students love to learn using technology! Education and learning are vital to helping students become all they can be. Their openness to learning will help determine their path in life. With that said, using technology opens so many doors for my students that are just a click away!
I am fortunate enough to teach at the most amazing elementary school in South Georgia!
The heartbeat of this school is our students. They amaze me every day with what they know and how eager they are to learn more. The students and parents at my school are motivated and hungry for the best possible education for themselves and their children. Our principal encourages us to have students leave everyday saying, "Today I learned so much and had so much fun doing it! I can't wait to see what we do tomorrow!"
My Project
We use technology in the classroom daily. Unfortunately, our resources are very limited. Two tablets would provide my students with opportunities to learn so much more while having fun! Students could use the tablets to create QR reader scavenger hunts for vocabulary, create short clips for presentation, take tests via QR codes, and even study together with the Quizlet App. The tablets would open the door to some of my non-reader students by providing them with a digital book that can be read aloud to them. This way, they will still be able to participate in book reports and book projects without having to be pulled out of the classroom to have the book read to them by another teacher. The possibilities are truly endless!
These tablets would provide my students with opportunities to visit places they've never been before, interact and teach each other new things, learn by thinking out of the box, and get excited about learning.
Many students in my classes do not have the opportunity to access technology any other place than school. These tablets would allow them to become tech savvy and acquire skills to use technology to further their learning!
