SSS Boom Bah! I teach Science. I educate students in the 6th grade. Our community is a growing community and we educate a variety of students who come from different backgrounds.

Because we do several hands on activities through out the year the cost sometimes begin to add up. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and having the ability to put something together that they did will give them a sense of pride and accomplishment.

We try to do as many hands on activities as possible because keeping the attention of 11 and 12 year olds is not an easy task. This is something that we do after all of the testing is over with and it gives the students a chance to relax and learn without knowing they are. When we do this Rocket unit we use science and math skills that they have learned.

Your help will make it possible to help students understand that math and science are things that you do use in the real world and seeing something that they did on their own zoom through the air gives them a sense accomplishment.
