My classroom consists of Kindergarten and First Grade special education students that have learning, language and attention difficulties.

My students are having difficulty learning letters and sounds of the alphabet by traditional means. My special education students learn best when they are given opportunities to learn through hands on activities, games and songs. Our classroom is lacking in multisensory resources to help us learn.

Our classroom really needs more hands on activities, games and songs that could help my students retain more information. The Listen and Learn Letter Sounds Activity Program is a skill building activity that allow students to listen to a CD and use wipe markers to listen for letters and sounds. We also would love to have in our classroom the Beginning Sounds Activity Kit and Beginning Sound Sorting Board. These activities would allow students the opportunity to learn letters and sounds with a 'hands on approach'. We also would benefit from the Alphabet Chants CD and read along book. This CD is motivating and would allow my students to retain the letter sounds.

Your help will ensure that my students are given the opportunity to learn the letters and sounds in a fun, motivating approach. Since my students are having difficulty learning from the traditional method, activities like the ones I explained above would really help our classroom. It would be great to see my students learn the letters and sounds, since it is the building block for learning to read. Your help with this project would be greatly appreciated.
