Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Angels with Autism. That is who I spend each and every school day with. My students are K through second graders.

The children struggle with coordination and have very little strength in their hands. This makes it difficult for them to learn independent task such as zipping, snapping, buttoning and developing eye/hand coordination.

Dressing frames will allow students to practice zipping, buttoning, and buckling. Fine motor games will be used to develop strength, eye/hand coordination, and functional independence. The alphabet manipulative's will help students begin to relate letters to objects for earl literacy. The realistic animal manipulative's will help the children identify and classify as well as provide positive reinforcement for activities completed.

Your help will ensure that these students are able to become more functional. The foundation that is laid at such an early age will have a long term impact. By aiding this classroom you will impact not only this classroom but the families of these children and the community that they are a part of.
