My Students

Our students are very eager learners about the world around them. They love to figure out why machines work, watch living things grow, and investigate the mysteries of science.

Our school has over 550 students ranging from Preschool to 5th grade.

We have an ever increasing population on our end of the county and even have need of multiple portable classrooms. One special classroom that we have is an Outdoor Classroom. It is a natural wetlands area that our 5th graders take special pride in by providing a natural habitat learning center for all students and community members to enjoy.

My Project

The materials I have requested will be used for our 2nd Annual Science Fair. My students need presentation boards to display their scientific findings and participation certificates to reward their efforts. All students in the school are encouraged to investigate a topic of their choice and display their findings. There is no judging, so students are more at ease in their investigations. The presentation boards will allow the students to show their findings in a professional manner. The certificates will be a reward for their hard work at the conclusion of the Science Fair.

Donations to this project will make our Science Fair a tremendous success.

Families will work together on investigating concepts learned in the classroom and the students will enjoy showing what they have learned. Extended family and community members will view the presentation boards, making the Science Fair look like a professional Exhibit Hall. The students are already super excited about receiving an award for their work without the pressure of competing with their classmates.
