Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Art inspires the future leaders of America. I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade art and my goal is to give my students a lifelong love of art and learning.

I showed my students images of Andy Warhol's artwork and they are excited about his art and want to explore pop art through graphic technology. There are no funds to purchase art/technological materials in my school.

In order to explore pop art utilizing graphic technology my students need a color digital scanner. The scanner would allow my students to create pictures, scan them and then manipulate them into pop art creations. This would increase their artistic as well as technological learning and help prepare them for possible careers in digital art fields.

With you help my students will gain valuable knowledge in the areas of art and technology. Many of my students are only exposed to art in school. You can make it possible to increase their learning and help them to grow into well rounded individuals.
