Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Spanish I, II, and III at a suburban high school of 1,500 students. We have a diverse population and the students are enthusiastic about gaining a foothold for higher second language acquisition.

We don't currently have much technology on hand in our foreign language department. Kids need a relevant and exciting way to learn Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and culture.

Teaching through technology is one of the best ways to reach young people these days. Having a projector to hook up to my laptop to would enable me to infuse my classroom with relevant and fun activities from the web and from the textbook publisher's supplemental online resources. Moreover, the audio and video resources would bring culture and language ALIVE!

The biggest obstacle we face as foreign language teachers is making the kids believe that the subject matter is relevant to their lives and opening their eyes to the larger world of Spanish culture. Your donations will help me realize my ideal classroom and teaching methods. Help me spark my kids interest with this Epson projector and you'll be helping the next generation of second language learners succeed.
