Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is an open design room where students with a wide range of abilities and gifts come to learn. We are a community of learners gifted in many areas and building our love and strength in reading.

My classroom is a specialized academic instruction classroom that allows students with multiple disabilities and exceptional abilities to be integrated and grow together.

My exceptional learners range from borderline learners, students with autism, to learners that have processing deficits.

My Project

My classroom focuses on reading instruction. I utilize centers and allow students to sit in comfort to read. During independent reading students have options of yoga ball seats, chairs, tables and desks. My students use iPads in order to read electronically and test reading comprehension using applications on the iPad.

My students often have to wait a day or two to have a turn with my one iPad for comfort reading.

This additional iPad will double the access my students have to portable reading and help build a love for books.
