"I am a science teacher for twenty-four elementary special education students in East Harlem. These students are severely emotionally disturbed with learning disabilities. I also teach four alternate assessment classes for a total of 30 additional students.

The hands-on puzzles in my proposal will provide visual and kinesthetic learning for my students, and will appeal to students with naturalistic intelligence. The insect and plant life cycle puzzles will engage students to enhance their science skills with beautiful, quality puzzles.

All 54 of my students will participate in the study of animal life cycles and structures.

I have two puzzles and the students love them. In addition to learning life cycles, the puzzles provide learning of sorting, color recognition and motor control practice. More puzzles would give more students opportunities to use these wonderful educational puzzles.

My project needs 3 Sunflower Life Cycle Puzzles and 3 Butterfly Life Cycle Puzzles. The cost of this proposal is $133, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Ms. Crook & Class,
Thank you for taking time to care about my students' education. These bug and plant life cycle puzzles will engage and entertain all of my science classes, while teaching them important concepts and facts. These are lovely puzzles and they will greatly enhance learning for all of my students.

On Jun 4, 2008, Mrs. K. followed this note with student letters sent via mail to the donor who completed this project, and to donors who gave $100 or more.
