I am a Fine Arts Teacher at a small, underfunded primary school in a large urban school district. I will use these materials with the third graders.

We will need multi-media art materials to enrich our Personal Narrative compositions. The students are using paper and pencil to complete this task, which could be more stimulating and exciting if we extended the project and injected some Visual Art components.

Through this project we would illustrate the outside of boxes to reflect our personality, make "Day in the Life of..." audio tapes, take photos of ourselves and paint self-portraits. This Story Box Project would help us tell our life stories more completely and enable us to share with others.

Your generous donation would allow us to have the art supplies needed to make our Personal Story Boxes more interesting and help us communicate our life stories through the arts with multi-media components.
