My students need a class set of "Julius Caesar" and "Romeo and Juliet" that they won't have to share with the rest of the school.

My students are transforming right in front of me! No longer are they the unmotivated 9th & 10th graders. Now they are emerging scholars who are gaining attention from my principal, the county, and hopefully the state soon!
Test scores, confidence, and a quest for learning is blooming in my class!
Everyone likes to stop by and watch my students in action. They are an opinionated bunch. My 9th graders have always been serious about their education, only extremely literal. Over the course of the year, they are learning to think outside the box thanks to literature and talking about what they have read. My 10th graders have not always been willing to read but you couldn't tell by their conversations, laughter, insight and daily habits these days in the classroom. They have learned to embrace literature and discuss its content and relate it to their lives.
My students need copies of Julius Caesar and Romeo and Juliet that they won't have to share with the rest of the school. During the fourth quarter, both my 9th and 10th grade classes will study Shakespeare. I really want them to have their own books of Romeo and Juliet & Julius Caesar instead of sharing and hoping there are enough books for the entire grade levels in the book room. Both grades will take part in analytical writing, interpretations, and literature circles.
Supporting this project will continue to improve the class morale.
My students are always impressed to find out there are strangers who want to see them succeed. Most of them do not have that many adults showing their support in their success. With each donation, another believer in my classroom is born. It is a priority that I make each of them believe they will be successful. It helps when they see complete strangers believe in them too!
