Bloomington, IN Grades 9-12

The careers class is a multi-age class which spans from 9th-12th grade. Aurora is an alternative high school which accepts students who are in danger of dropping out of high school at any point in their high school career.

The obstacle I face is trying to get students involved in their education. Students typically come to Aurora when they feel that school is not a great place to be. I have to turn their opinion about school around, while at the same time teaching them relevant information.

The resources that I am asking for are enough autobiographies and biographies of different people who have led successful lives. I obtained this list of books by asking the students what they are interested in reading about. Hopefully, one of these books will catch their attention. Not only will they benefit from reading, but will learn what it takes to become successful in life.

Your donation will ensure that my students will have reading material that is relevant to their lives and to their success in the future.
