Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

After 27 years of teaching, I am currently teaching Kindergarten by my own choice. The students are eager to learn and full of enthusiasm. Ninety percent of the students at the school are on free or reduced lunch.

Have you ever felt squished, smushed or just plain crowded with no personal spaced? Well, that's exactly how the kindergarten students feel in my class. We are all squished together on a small carpet during our circle, story time as well as free choice time.

Having a larger carpet will allow the students to sit and play more comfortably. When children have the space, they will be able to use the various math materials to explore. Students will have the space to be more attentive.

Your help will ensure that my students will have the space to become better listeners and learners.
