All students need engaging material! Without the integration of helpful research material many students seem to be lost. Teaching 7th grade social studies in NYC in students come to class with all types of different ethnic backgrounds. My children have lots of academic energy that needs to be refocused, in order to achieve optimal learning environment for each individual student. Many of my students live in a low poverty area with a lack of resources when classroom teachers decide to do projects. Many of these students learn visually, yet many of the classrooms lack the necessary research material to enhance my students learning needs. My students are very intelligent, but need resources to fully awaken their potential. My students will use the set of Discover American Encyclopedia to view history in full color. It is important that our society gives every student an equal opportunity to think outside the box to ensure success now and in the future. One set of Encyclopedia will help me revive the imagination of hundreds of students in the future giving them hope, to create a new future. Remember if it were not for imagination how many of our own dreams would fail. Help my students realize that dreams really are Achievable.
