My project needs 192 model rocket engines to fly my students' homemade model rockets.

I am currently teaching at a middle school on the east side of San Jose, CA. I teach 8th grade physical science to students who are most often financially strapped. Each year the science department studies Newton's Laws. As a fun project, we help each student build a homemade rocket out of paper towel rolls, index cards, and tag board. This is a project every student gets into. It help show them that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The students can paint and color the rocket when they are done to add a personal touch. We then launch them during each class period. Students do a "count down," and chase the rockets down as the fall from the sky. I have had multiple students come back and talk about building their rocket. It truly is a project they never forget. The obstacle we face is buying the rocket engines. I do not have enough money in my budget to purchase these engines and sometimes the students cannot buy them. I try the best I can to ensure every child has an engine, but sometimes they have to share. I would like every student to have a rocket this year. You can help foster an excitement for science and give our students an experience they will never forget.
