Piecing Together our Classroom Library

My project needs 16 baskets to organize our classroom library books and 26 copies of The Magic School Bus Penguin Puzzle chapter book.

I am moving into a new second grade classroom at a low-income school. My room is not equipped with any furniture other than desks. I have purchased some shelves, but we need baskets to keep our books organized. Picture books and small chapter books don't stand as well as novels. The baskets will allow us to organize by genre, reading level, and/or subject. I am also requesting a class set of The Magic School Bus Penguin Puzzle as our first class reading group set to be housed in our library. This winter we will study adaptations and habitats. Our unit will begin with the Penguin, and this is a fun text with a great deal of non-fiction information. For some students, this might be their first success with a chapter book. It will guide us through penguin research and lead us to other animals and parts of the world. Please consider these welcome additions to our classroom library.
