"I am a New York City 5th grade teacher. I work in a low income high need school. The students in my class struggle tremendously with mathematics. A majority of the students are below grade level in math. They need extra support in mathematics before they take their math test to graduate.

Some of the materials that I would like for the students are test prep materials, problems solving practice books, math games, and math manipulatives to help them solve math problems. These math supplies can make the difference in whether a student graduates or not. The manipulatives that I ordered will allow the students to work independently and cooperative with the other students in the class.

I believe that if the students were able to use these math tools it would make learning math fun. My students need your support to provide them with the tools they need to be successful. Please help to make learning math a fun experience for my students.

My project needs math supplies such as overhead math manipulatives, math games, problem solving strategies, and math games. The cost of this proposal is $544, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear ScienceBlogs, Ruchira and Anonymous Donor,
I would just like to take this time to thank you for this generous donation. My students will utilize all of the materials that were ordered. My students are very excited to receive their new materials. I can now reinforce the concepts that I teach in class everyday. Again I would just like to say my students and myself greatly appreciate all that you have done for us.

With so many thanks,

Ms. S
