My students need 27 book titles to enhance our classroom library about the Arctic and Antarctic for a polar expedition.

We're going on a polar expedition! My 45 English Language Learners need the opportunity to explore parts of the world they will likely never visit. My Kindergarten through fifth grade students come from approximately 15 different countries and would relish the opportunity to learn about the polar biomes.

My English Language Learners are gathering their gear to make a trek to the poles. They are creating field journals and searching the web, but we need books in our hands so everyone can join in the experience together.

My language-learning adventure-seekers have the desire to explore the poles, but are lacking books in every child's hand! When we embark on our polar expedition, we will need books about the arctic and antarctic to describe the biomes and the plant and animal life; to delve into the lives of explorers that have actually made the trek to the poles; to use field journals as models for our own.

Your donation will make it possible for my English Language Learners to step outside the classroom into a world of books that will broaden their view, take them into places unknown, and make them better citizens of our planet.
