Think back to your high school Family and Consumer Sciences class. What do you remember most? For my students, I hope they remember all of the hands on life skills that they have learned through out the year.

Our school is in a diverse area and many of my students do not get the opportunity to have a nutritious, sit-down meal with their families due to circumstances beyond their control.

I would like to provide students with the opportunity to experience a nutritious family style meal. They will also learn that it is more economical to prepare a meal at home compared to picking up fast food. I have requested 5 sets of pots and pans (one for each of our kitchens), 5 sets of measuring utensils, and 3 manual can openers.

By making this donation, you will be encouraging students to value meal time with their families, encouraging healthy eating habits, and exposing a new generation to the culinary arts and possibly a career in food science.
