My Students

Small group instruction is essential to educating struggling students, and yet the right materials are difficult to locate.

I am a Title One reading teacher located in the Bronx, New York.

My students attend an overcrowded elementary school, over 1200 students. I service the second and third grades. My students are struggling readers who are eager to learn. However the right materials are necessary in order to facilitate learning.

My Project

The perfect solution to my problem is a table top easel. Since I don't have my own classroom, I set up my groups in my students classroom. But this often involves no place for me to write. A table top easel will allow me to travel with the easel for rigorous instruction.

Table top easels may not sound like a fantastic gift, but it would make my struggling readers very happy to be able to visually read my words.
