Our Leveled Library Needs a Little Boost and a Home!

My students need reading comprehension pointers, non-fiction leveled books, level N books, and a cart to store our leveled library.

My Students

Donors Choose has helped us get a leveled library for our classroom!! I am so grateful that we have built a leveled library through several projects over that past two years. It is still growing and now needs a good home! My shelves are overflowing, which is a great problem to have.

My full day kindergarten students are so eager to learn!

They ask about everything and want to try and do everything, especially read! As we walk down the halls of our fantastic school, they are finding words to read and soaking it all in. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful school with supportive parents and staff.

My Project

We are requesting a cart to store our leveled library. This cart is mobile, so we can move it around the room (and to other classrooms) as needed. We have books from levels A-M, so we would like the next level up for those students that need an extra challenge! The comprehension pointers will be a great addition to our literacy time to get my students thinking about the stories we read. Last of all, we have the A-D set of non-fiction readers and they are great. We would like the higher level set for those readers that need an extra challenge. Each one of these items we are requesting will help our classroom in a different way, but they all help us work on reading!

We have been so blessed to build a leveled library in our classroom, and these materials will be the finishing touches we need.

Our leveled library allows students to be successful readers on their level and even try a challenge to read the next level up. They can find books just right for them!
