Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am very fortunate to work at a school that has a mobile technology cart with about 30 laptops that are meant for students use. Students eagerly create research projects to present them. However, this cart moves from class to class as needed and losing students' digital data could be devastating.

I teach a group of students with specific learning disabilities from grades 3 to 6.

Their reading levels are different and each students' needs are very challenging, but they are very bright and with daily practice they can succeed and meet their specific goals.

My Project

Students can work on a group project and will be able to each save a copy if they all had a flash drive. Flash drives are helpful when doing school work because it can serve as a back up if the computer freezes. Students can bring work to and from school without difficulty. Students would be able to have ongoing projects that last throughout the year without the fear of losing their work. With your help, students would bring along up to 4GB of digital media and other important files with them regardless of which computer they use.

Special needs students in my class need your support.

They need to know that we believe in their efforts and abilities to succeed. Technology is constantly changing and students need to be up to date with it. Help me help my students succeed by being able to organize and save their research projects in a portable way.
