Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The horizon is out there somewhere, and you just keep chasing it, looking for it, and working for it." Bob Dole. Have you ever heard the saying practice makes perfect? I am a Special Education teacher and I love the Daily Practice series by Evan Moor and the Spectrum Test Preparation book series.

I teach a group of students with specific learning disabilities from grades 3 to 6.

Their reading levels are different and each students' needs are very challenging, but they are very bright and with daily practice they can succeed and meet their specific goals.

My Project

I have been reviewing many resources to boost my students' confidence for the end of the year assessments. I believe the Spectrum Series prepares students to do their best on standardized tests. Activities reinforce test-taking skills through examples, tips and practice exercises. The Daily Geography Practice book presents various geographical concepts with plenty of opportunities for real-life reinforcement examples. Each paragraph has vocabulary words in bold with their definition printed on a side bar. This book also contains comprehension quizzes in order to assess the student's understanding of the topic. These books are excellent as a daily reading practice and as a tool for test skills preparation.

Special needs students in my class need your support.
