This year I am teaching several great art classes and I do not want to be at a disadvantage because we cannot afford enough art supplies.

My students will soon be studying perspective drawing. We will be looking at examples of perspective using a projector mounted on the ceiling. We will need rulers, paper, and colored pencils to learn how to draw in one and two point linear perspective.

We are fortunate to have a projector so we can view examples of masterworks, but this has to be projected onto my dry erase board. I always write our bellwork, learning objective, and the day's assignment on the board. The class often has to look through the writing to see the master work. We reuse our rulers every year. The rulers we have now are showing their age. Many rulers have been broken and we are still trying to use the pieces. We use lots of colored pencils each year. In the past we had a large supply, but this has dwindled to one box. Some students are able to bring their own colored pencils at the moment. Bringing their own supplies will become more difficult when our school starts to enforce our no backpack rule this year. We also go through lots of paper each year. I would love to be able to use our art money to buy other supplies such as paints instead of restocking the very necessary paper.

The projector screen, rulers,colored pencils, and white paper will fill a great need in our art room. The projector will help us look at the works of the Renaissance without having to look through the day's assignment. By donating the money to supply us with rulers, colored pencils, and paper, you will help us be able to afford other supplies that we have had to go without in the past.
