I teach an introductory technology class geared toward 9-12 grade students with little background in technology. Students today live in a very technologically driven world. The more familiar they can become with the technology around them, the more successful they will be. My goal is to empower them with the technological tools they need to be as successful as possible. Students are surrounded by technology, but don’t always know how to effectively use it. Implementation of this project will equip the students with the tools necessary to properly exhibit their ideas through the medium of video technology, strengthening their knowledge and building their self-confidence by providing them a more creative outlet in which to express their thoughts and ideas to those around them. These tools that they develop will not only aid them in their academic endeavors (high school and college), but also in their everyday lives. The resource needed for this project is a durable, compact video camera. Your generous donations will ensure that my students are technologically competitive in an ever-evolving world, and will allow them a form of self-expression not normally provided in a regular classroom setting. Please consider being an active part in this endeavor to help others "see" through my students' eyes.
