Computer Repair Tool Kit

My students need a tool kit to learn how to upgrade and repair computers.

Teaching science at an arts school can be challenging. We are a wonderful arts magnet school serving a broad and diverse student population. Unfortunately, technology resources that help prepare students for college and future careers do not always keep up with the resources available for our arts programs. I teach Physics and Earth/Environmental Sciences to students in grades nine through twelve, many of whom have struggled in math or science in the past. My students love to learn but need access to better resources.

I have many students who want to learn how to work on computers. We have several older computers on campus they can work on but they lack the necessary tools. Older computers are routinely discarded because no one has the knowledge to repair or upgrade them. This is not only inefficient and expensive but adversely effects our environment.

A comprehensive tool kit will allow my students to learn how to upgrade and repair computers. We have a generation of computer users who are very comfortable using computers but know little to nothing about the inner workings of a computer. My students will be able to learn skills that will not only make them a hit with friends and family, but may give them career opportunities down the road.

Your generosity will provide a valuable tool for my students to use to learn a skill that will help them in future careers, plus teach them to be more independent and successful. It will help them be better prepared for college and later careers that rely heavily on the use of technology. Thank you in advance for your support.
