I work at a small country school that serves 107 students. Our school is so small that we have one teacher per grade level, kindergarten through fifth. As a teacher highly interested in technology, it has becoming a goal to have our school computer lab, functioning at its highest capacity.

Recently our school has switched to a new reading curriculum for kindergarten through second, and will follow with the remaining grades next year. Part of this curriculum uses technology to practice phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary and fluency. We have the computers to run the needed software, but we are lacking the headphones with microphones, to fully use the software.

Our students will be capable of listening and practicing the skills taught with the reading software with the headphones. Teachers will have the ability to monitor a students fluency and reading, with recorded text from each student. We need one set of headphones for the 27 computers that we have in our lab. These headphones will be used by the entire school for many avenues of learning.

Your support will allow our children to continue to learn the new reading curriculum with the integration of technology, that our children are becoming more efficient with every day.
