My students are in need of a comfortable and inviting place to be while reading and have a display case for easy book access.

I teach kindergarten at a year round, title one school in Northern Utah. My little students this year in particular have many challenges and needs.

Many of my students have not had home experiences of being read to or owning their own books. In our classroom we have a book corner, but it needs help! We need to make our book area more comfortable, cheerful and inviting. It needs to be a place where my students will want to go to in order to look at interesting to them books. Because many of my students have not had much access to books at home they have had very little opportunity to freely explore books.

We need a book display case that will give students easy access to books we have made in class,interesting to them picture books, zoo magazines, books I have read to them and books from the theme we are studying. This book case will display these reading materials in an inviting and easily accessible way. We also need a comfortable bright and cheerful carpet for children to sit on while looking at books.

Your help will make it possible for my students to have a bright, cheerful and comfortable place go to when looking at or reading books. You will make it possible for the books to be displayed in an easy way for a little person to reach, and use.
