Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help my students see the big picture! I teach eager and inquisitive second graders in a high poverty public school.

On a daily basis in my classroom, students can be heard complaining about how they can't see. The lack of technology in my classroom means that my students are prevented from learning simply because they are unable to see the materials being used.

Here's where I need YOUR help! My classroom needs one document camera so that my students are able to clearly see the materials being used in our lessons! A document camera would allow my students to have access to not only simple papers like worksheets but also real-life examples, such as newspaper clippings, other students' writing, and photographs to build background knowledge. I envision that the document camera will be useful in ALL my classroom subjects.

Your support will make it possible not only for me to enhance my lessons but also for all my students to see classroom materials, real-life examples, and each others' exemplary work.
