Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

You're in the spotlight! I teach in a state aid preschool class, ages 3-5, including students with special needs. We have much diversity in our school, and many different languages. Our school is also in a high-need community.

A large majority of our students are non-English speakers. Currently our school has only one digital camera for the entire preschool of two-hundred students, making it very difficult to have access to the camera when you need it.

It would be very beneficial to have another digital camera to record the learning activities of the students. The children love to see themselves in the pictures. We make posters of our activities and field trips, and the children love to share them with their parents.

Your help will ensure that my students will be able to increase their communication skills, and their proficiency in the English language by seeing themselves in the spotlight and communicating and sharing classroom activities with others.
