Easy Non-Fiction Needed

My students need 15 sets of easy to read non-fiction titles for my library story corner boxes.

I am a K-5 school librarian in a high-need community in Illinois serving over 300 students.

Last year I purchased a number of tubs for non-fiction books in my library story corner. My younger students love looking for their favorite non-fiction in these tubs. With no assistance from me they can look for books on sharks, dinosaurs, snakes, insects, birds, dogs, and weather.

The concept has been so popular I can't keep the items of interest on the shelf. Older students can't find the books they need and I am checking out more non-fiction than ever. My ideal solution is to buy an additional set of books just for the tubs.

You can help make my ideal solution a reality. Your help will ensure that all my students are served. School funding cuts eliminated the library clerk position several years ago. My book boxes make it possible for even kindergarten students to find their favorite book with little help.
