This Is Jeopardy!, Let's Welcome the Elementary Edition

My students need 1 classroom Jeopardy game system to help them extend their learning in all subject areas.

According to Mediafamily.org, "Children, ages 8 to 18, spend more time (44.5 hours per week) in front of computer, television, and game screens than any other activity in their lives except sleeping". As a general education teacher, my third grade students are in an urban inner-city school. My days are filled with competing against the hottest video games, rap songs on the radios and television. If my students can spend more positive time in front of the television and with video games, then I have a chance of making them students that can excel in academics with the help of the latest gadgets.

My students aren't able to get the educational video experience, because it costs a lot of money. I have students that aren't able to connect with certain subjects or content, because their minds are of the computer era. I want to make education appealing and fun to my current students and all my students thereafter. My classroom isn't filled with all the latest technology, so I want to give my kids the experience that most affluent students are given and are able to receive. My school isn't able to purchase a jeopardy game system, because there are more important items to purchase like: copy paper, paper for the students to write on, ink for some of the operable printers, and books.

If the students could have the luxury of a jeopardy game system in their own classroom, and incorporate it with all the subjects they are learning about, then my students will be able to master the content required by the school system and the state with fun, ease and confidence.

When the Great Depression of the 1920's hit the citizens of the United States, people were forced to beg for food, shelter, and clothes. I can still hear that Ole saying ringing in my ears, "Brother, can you spear a dime", and I can feel the essence of that saying now in 2009. I am asking for the donors to "spear a dime". Your help will ensure that my students are ready to compete with the other leading countries, states, and cities. Your help will make it possible for my students to want to learn. My students will develop a deeper hunger for education, if I am able to serve them something interesting and satisfying. This chance will empower me to feed my kid's memories for a lifetime. Sometimes in life, we are only left with our memories.
