A Classroom Set Of A Series Of Unfortunate Events

My students need a set of 14 books from the series: Lemony Snicket's:A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Please consider my request! I am a 5th grader teacher in an "at-risk" urban school. We currently have 90% population that receive Free or Reduced lunch!

Our goal is to help our students gain interest in reading by finding literature they can relate to. Many of the students in my school come from homes with no one to help with homework, or to give support. My school has wonderful children that strive to do well in school and move to bigger and better places.

Lemony Snicket's, A Series of Unfortunate Events is a book series that my student can relate to. It is about 3 siblings that are orphaned and only have each other to rely on. This series will help them gain a love of reading.

By supporting this request you will help my students find stories that are personal to them, can jump start a life long love of reading, and help them to pass their state assessments.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
