Lower income students deserve to have every chance available. My students do not have many opportunities before they come to school. I want to level their learning field.

My school is a high poverty school where most of my students do not come the basic school supplies. They do come with a desire to learn. I want to be able to provide them with activities and resources that will enhance their zest for learning.

I am asking for Leap Pad books on their grade level. These books will enhance their math, social studies, science, and basic literary skills. My students are eager to learn. Many of them are below level in reading ability. With a Leap Pad they are able to read and understand the material read to them. This gives them an equal learning field.

Your help will give my students the opportunity to be as successful as others who are more fortunate. It is incumbent on all of us to reach each child on their level and to be able to bring them to the place where they need to be. Having the resources available to be read to them gives them one more chance to be successful.
