Our class is a lively bunch of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders with Autism, learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities.

Have you ever watched a lottery drawing with a container full of ping pong balls bouncing all over the place? Some days, that's exactly what our classroom looks like! Students with attention or processing deficits need subtle movement to know where their bodies are in space and be able to attend to a task. Without subtle movement, their bodies seek out strong input and they end up literally bouncing all over the place!

Wiggle cushions, like the CoreDisc provide subtle and constant movement for students as they sit at their desks. They are provided with feedback about their bodies position in space so they are able to attend to a lecture or complete work with a partner or by themselves. Some students need a little deep pressure, like a comforting hug. ShoulderSnakes can provide that input so they can calmly sit at their desks without disrupting other students.

With your contribution, my classroom can stop bouncing around! Students will use their CoreDiscs or Shoulder Snakes to get the sensory input they need to focus. If you've ever felt wiggly during a meeting or class, I'm sure you can relate! These students need your help to calm their bodies and attend to their education.
