Hoops Make the World Go Around

My students need a collection of hula hoops.

I teach in a kindergarten blended Inclusion classroom. The population consists of 22 children 18 typically developing students and 5 children with special needs. My kiddos love hula hooping, a group came to our school and preformed an exercise show for the kids for an hour. Ever since then they have had hula hoops on there brains.

My kindergrtners have been interested in hula hooping since a dance group called Kids tribe came and taught the kids how to exercise with them. My co-teacher and I are always looking for new ways to promote a healthy mind and body, we feel that this is a great way for our little guys to do so.

All we need is enough hoops for the children to use hula hoops as a class. The children would exercise and work together as a team when utilizing the hula hoops. Starting health awareness at an early age has been proven to help in the fight against heart disease and obesity.

Your help will ensure a positive attitude towards exercising as well as a healthy body image be instilled in our blended inclusion classroom. The hoops will make it possible for the children to have fun and exercise at the same time while promoting a positive health outlook.
