Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a kindergarten teacher in a low income school. The students that I teach deserve every opportunity to succeed that I can provide them with. My students come to school each morning very excited and wanting to learn.

My students are always wanting to learn more about their surroundings, and I do as much as I can with what I have. The school that I work at does not have the funds to purchase the supplies that would make teaching and learning science more beneficial to the children in my class.

The resources that I need to make this an amazing experience for the young students that I teach will allow them to explore the environment around them using developmentally appropriate supplies. Science will also give my students the foundation for future scientific learning and will teach my students patience because scientific projects take time.

You will make it possible for my students to have the experiences to build their scientific foundation.
