Entreprenuers on the Rise! I teach 8th grade Social Studies in an inner city charter school.

My students are always looking for new ways to fund school activities that are not funded by the school. They also know that our parents do not always have the time nor means to take students to get supplies, so they want to make supplies more accessible for the students.

My students want to learn about economics in a hands-on way. They identified the need for school supplies on a daily basis. They understand that the students in our school are not always able to go to the store to replace lost or broken school supplies. They want to set up a school store to help out their fellow classmates and learn how the world of economics work. Their desire is to use the profits to replenish their merchandise, and help other students with fees for field trips.

Your help will ensure that my students can open their store without a hefty overhead. You will also help them learn how to manage their finances and the importance of giving back to their community. Students will use a percentage of their profit for a service project. Money will also be used to pay for positive reinforcement parties.
