I teach two classes of third grade language arts in a high needs community. I'm proud to see that I have two hardworking groups once again. My students are making progress in all subject areas, except handwriting.

In all my years of teaching, and it's been quite a few, I've always been puzzled about the handwriting process. With today's schedules of balanced literacy, handwriting has been pushed aside.

Well, I refuse to push handwriting out the window. I would love to have handwriting workbooks, so that my students can practice daily. I feel that this daily practice will not only improve their writing but give them a sense of pride as they watch their progress.

It would be amazing if we could have the opportunity to practice our handwriting with some inviting and much needed workbooks. Your help with this project will put us on another level of success and pride. Please consider us for this proposal.
