My students need two 75 slot folio cabinets and a Deluxe percussion workstation for percussion storage.

Since Hurricane Katrina struck the Mississippi Gulf Coast, our small school district has been struggling to recover. We have been trying to replace items that were lost in the 40 foot storm surge, one item at a time. Although we have many more items to go, these items are next on our list of priorities.

Our students are very proud to be in the band program. They work very hard to maintain the quality band that we strive for and because of their dedication we are successful every time we perform.

On this project, we are asking for two 75 slot folio cabinets, one for the high school and one for the middle school, and a percussion workstation for percussion storage and rehearsals. For 4 years since the storm, our students have had to deal with not having an organized place to keep their music or a place for the percussionists to store their instruments. As we prepare them to go to college, we stress the importance of staying organized and dedicated. As long as we continue to expect this from our students, they will be more likely to attend college. We have had many students go on to college and receive band scholarships.

Having this equipment in our band hall will once again give our students a more stable environment to learn by helping them stay more organized. Your donation will empower our students to maintaining a much more "normal" and "organized" life at school.
