Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 11th and 9th grade design, in a small high needs inner city public school In NY.It is based in a upcoming neighborhood filled with small galleries and bohemians, and boutiques.

With little money for canvas and stretcher bars due to budget restraints, my lunchtime art club has little to no supplies left for creating their own fine art. Many of my students have shown interest in wanting to take their work up to the next level from paper to canvas and this will help them do so.

With the resource of these 5 canvases, the students will be able to transfer some of their best ideas and work onto a professional gallery style canvas. I plan on having a small student show in the office with the finished work.

You will make it possible for my students to bring their work up to the level it deserves to be at.
