I am a special education teacher. I work with students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. My students have learning disabilities, are developmentally delayed and have attention deficit disorder. I work with my students on academic, behavior and social skills.

As a special education teacher, multi-sensory teaching is a very beneficial approach to teaching students with disabilities. I recently received a grant for a projector and an interactive whiteboard. However, I am not able to use the projector and interactive whiteboard without a laptop. My school is currently experiencing several budget cuts and is not able to provide teachers with the supplies and materials they need for their students to be successful.

With the use of laptop, I will be able to display information on the whiteboard for my students to learn more interactively. I will be able to access a wide variety of resources. The interactive whiteboard and projector will be used to teach students reading, writing and math. My students will be able to learn visually and kinesthetically.
