Middle school Advisory seeks support to create crocheted items for a local homeless shelter.

Have you ever crocheted or knitted? I definitely haven't! But, with the help of some supportive parents, my Advisory group of 12 urban middle school girls will not only learn how to crochet, they will donate their handmade items to a local homeless shelter.

We are in need of crochet hooks and yarn to create items to donate to a local homeless shelter. One of the components in our urban school's Advisory groups is an importance of giving back. Students in this urban Maryland school enjoy helping others and being artistic. The journals will be used so the students can chronicle their experiences as they learn to crochet by a school parent, create the items, then donate the items to the shelter.

Take this opportunity to share the joy of giving back to our urban Maryland middle school students. Your donation will allow my Advisory group to learn a new skill and continue to understand the importance of contributing to their community.
