Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 18 second grade students in a high-needs community. My classroom includes 9 students from Spanish-speaking families. These students love to learn because I do everything I can to make learning fun!

These kids come to me with very few resources, but with a thirst for learning and love. With many less than ideal home conditions and a fast-paced society, it can be difficult to keep them engaged throughout the entire school day. That's why fun learning games make such a difference!

This set of math games will allow my students to work in small groups, with a partner, or independently while engaging in exciting and challenging activities. They also include movement and exercise! Additionally, students will learn to cooperate, help one another, and communicate with their peers. While most of my students are engaged in these centers, I will be free to work with struggling students on certain skills, or on enrichment activities with students who need that extra challenge. Most importantly, students will have fun learning!

By helping to provide these resources, you will empower my students with confidence and the skills they need to be successful- in school and beyond.
