Hands-on With Renewable Energy

My students need the Nasco Fuel Cell Experiment Kit and Manual, and 3 Nasco Photocell Testing Kits to allow my students to get hands-on experience with technologies that are available to help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

I teach Environmental Science to high school students in grades ninth through twelfth grades. My students are from an urban environment, and we have limited access to technological resources.

My students are compassionate about the troubling environmental issues they learn about, but they have little experience or access to the renewable technologies that could help us solve our energy problems.

I want students to get hands-on experience in solar energy and fuel cells. They have heard about these technologies, but they would greatly benefit from using the photocell and fuel cell kits for experimentation. This hands-on experience stimulates excitement and the type of thinking that stimulates higher level questioning.

Your contribution would help my students see the potential of alternative energies in their lives. Students need to have knowledge and experience with the new renewable technologies so that they will be more likely to incorporate these technologies into their lives and develop possible career interests in these fields.
