Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Kindergarten in a low sociol-economic community. They lack resources beyond basic needs.

I try to give my students different experiences to make their kindergarten year a memorable year but also with lots of learning opportunities. We want to make scrapbooks to record their accomplishments. Their scrapbooks will include writing samples, their pictures of dancing performances, cooking activities, parades, picnics, and field trips. They will be involved in making a memory/scrapbook of their activities and learning experiences all year long.

We need a digital camera, photo paper, photo printer, binding machine, and binding combs to make their scrapbook albums.

Life is made up of memories and I would like you to make it possible for them to preserve those memories and at the same time give them an opportunity to be creative in putting those memories together.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
