Track Team with No Equipment

my students need starting blocks, practice hurdles, batons and first aid kits in order to prepare for this years upcoming track season (2 apiece)

I currently head a track club which provides extracurricular activities in track and field. I provide these opportunities to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls and boys. The school district currently does not have a track program for the middle schools. I am located in Georgia which has an abundance of raw athletic talent. The only opportunities provided are basketball and cheerleading (8th graders only). I provide an opportunity for all children with the experience of being involved in an athletic activity that helps enhance life experiences. Most children have never been exposed to the opportunities provided in track and field. Exceptional athletes who continue to compete in high school are offered college scholarships. Some children will eventually compete on the international and Olympic stage.

We currently have no practice supplies or any means to obtain them. Last year, without the supplies, my team grew from 6 to 16 children.

This project can help to start a trend in Georgia, producing class AAAAA athletes at the middle school level. We can begin possibly to start track programs at other schools within my school district. And eventually begin competing against each other. This may lead to my school district offering track as another middle school team sport. We really needy first aid kits, batons, and starting blocks. We also really need the shot puts and practice hurdles.

Your help will ensure that my students will be afforded the opportunity to compete with more established clubs at any track and field meet or activity.
